Fit Rankers ("Fit Rankers", "the app", "we", "us", or "our") is an iOS Health & Fitness app that pairs a personal strength-training program with a manhwa-style competitive ranking system. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information the app processes, how it is processed, the choices you have, and how to reach us.

1. Summary in plain language

Fit Rankers uses an account. You sign in with Apple, Google, email, or as a guest, and we create an account on our servers so your training data persists, syncs across sessions and devices, and so you can compete on the seasonal leaderboard. Your training data — workouts, daily missions, streaks and rest tokens, rank and benchmark progress, stats, story progress, body metrics, emblems, license status, and guild membership — is stored on your device and on our backend servers, tied to your account. We collect and store your date of birth to verify you are at least thirteen (Fit Rankers is for users aged 13+) and to compute your age for nutrition and training targets; it is stored on our servers tied to your account, with a copy kept on your device. If you set a profile photo (avatar), it is uploaded to our servers so it can display on your profile. The seasonal leaderboard and guilds are social features: if you hold a Ranker License and submit a result, or join a guild, your display name, rank, and guild messages are visible to other users. Apple Health data and the camera feed for AI rep detection are processed on your device and are not uploaded. Purchases are handled by Apple's In-App Purchase and our purchase processor; we never see your payment card details. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.

2. Account and authentication

When you sign in with Apple, Google, email, or as a guest, we create an account identified by a random user id on our servers. For Apple and Google we receive a verified sign-in token and a provider identifier — and, if you permit it, your name and email — to create your account. For email sign-in we use a one-time code sent to your address. A guest account has no identity and can be upgraded to a full account later. A session token is stored on your device (in the iOS Keychain) to keep you signed in; signing out revokes it.

3. Data stored on our servers

Tied to your account, our backend stores: workouts and sets, daily missions, streaks and rest tokens, rank and benchmark progress, six-axis stats, story progress, placement benchmarks, body metrics you record, emblems, your Ranker License / purchase status, leaderboard submissions, guild membership and chat messages, your display name, your date of birth, and your avatar image. This lets your data persist, sync across devices, and power seasonal competition and guilds.

4. Date of birth and on-device caches

Your date of birth is used for the under-13 Age Gate and to compute your age for nutrition and training targets. It is stored on our servers tied to your account, and a copy is kept on your device so the app works offline; Fit Rankers is intended for users aged thirteen (13) and older. The app also keeps cached copies of your profile and training data, so it works offline and starts quickly.

5. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, the app reads selected Health data (for example biological sex, height, weight, and optional recovery signals such as heart rate variability and sleep) to tailor your daily missions, and writes the workouts you complete back to Apple Health as standard HKWorkout entries. HealthKit data is processed on your device and is not copied to our servers. You can revoke this permission at any time in the iOS Settings app; choosing Delete Account also revokes the app's HealthKit authorization.

6. Camera and AI rep detection

If you start an AI-detected workout, the app opens the camera and counts repetitions using on-device pose detection. Frames are analyzed in memory, are not saved to disk, and are not uploaded or shared. You can opt out and use manual rep confirmation instead.

7. Profile photo (avatar)

If you choose a profile photo, the image is uploaded to and stored on our servers so it can appear on your profile. You can change or remove it at any time; deleting your account removes it.

8. Leaderboard, guilds, and competition

A Ranker License lets you compete in seasons. When you submit a leaderboard result, your display name and rank are shown to other users on the seasonal leaderboard. If you join a guild, your display name, avatar, and any messages you post in guild chat are visible to other members of that guild. Please don't use a display name or post a message you wouldn't want others to see. Guild chat messages can be reported for review, and users who violate our Terms may be blocked or removed.

9. Purchases

The Ranker License (30-day pass, 365-day pass, or Founders Lifetime), Rest Token packs, and optional Guild features (Guild License passes and rename tickets) are sold as one-time purchases through Apple's In-App Purchase — none of these are auto-renewing subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple and by our purchase processor, which reports your entitlement status to our backend so your benefits unlock. Apple handles payment — we do not receive your payment card details.

10. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the app sends reminders such as daily training prompts, streak-protection warnings, and achievement unlocks. These are scheduled and delivered on your device.

11. Third parties

We rely on a small set of third parties: Apple for Sign in with Apple, HealthKit, and In-App Purchase; Google for Google Sign-In, only if you choose it; and our purchase processor, which validates In-App Purchases and reports entitlement status to our backend. Our backend servers are operated for us by a third-party cloud infrastructure provider. We do not embed advertising, attribution, social, or cross-app tracking SDKs.

12. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data until you delete your account. In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account to remove your account and its associated server-side data and to revoke the app's on-device HealthKit access. Some records may persist briefly in routine backups or operational logs before being purged.

13. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account from inside the app, and contact us for any other request. Where applicable law grants additional rights, we will honor them.

14. Children

Fit Rankers is intended for users aged thirteen (13) and older. The onboarding Age Gate blocks anyone whose date of birth indicates an age below thirteen. If you believe a child under thirteen has used the app, please contact us so we can help.

15. Security

All network traffic uses encrypted HTTPS connections, and your session token is stored in the iOS Keychain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

16. International data transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country or region. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and we will surface significant changes in the app.
